The myenergi Zappi was the first-ever solar EV charger. With this smart EV charger, you can use 100% solar energy to power your car. This means you can maximise the ROI on your panels and save the planet at the same time.
Even if you don’t have solar panels yet, the Zappi can still charge your car using power from the grid. Use the myenergi app to control your car charging. Schedule charging for off-peak hours, boost charging speed when needed, and even monitor your devices from your phone.
Zappi Charging Modes
The Zappi EV charger offers three charging modes, letting you customise the way your vehicle charges to fit your needs.
Eco
This mode is a mixture of energy from your PV system and the grid. Eco mode prioritises using solar energy and adjusts the charging power in response to changes in generation or power being used elsewhere in the home. Additional power will be drawn from the grid to top it back up if the surplus generation drops below 1.4 kW.
Eco+
Similarly to Eco, Eco+ continuously adjusts the charge power in response to changes in your generation or power consumption. If your EV charging is using too much energy imported from the grid, it will pause until surplus power is available.
Fast
As the name suggests, this mode will prioritise your vehicle’s charging speed. It will primarily use energy from your PV, but if needed, it will draw power from the grid to ensure your car is charged as quickly as possible.
