For years, the Approved Solar Retailer program has been used set the standards for solar industry best practices. This program was established by the Clean Energy Council (CEC), an organisation that accredits solar retailers in the design and installation of solar technology.
In February 2023, the ASR program will be replaced with the New Energy Tech Consumer Code (NETCC). This new program extends its reach of protection standards to new solar technology. New Energy Tech includes electric vehicle chargers, solar batteries and solar energy systems.
The CEC Approved Solar Retailer badges will be replaced by the New Energy Tech Approved Seller badge. All energy retailers with this new badge are committed to providing consumers with quality energy products with transparency.
As a NET Approved Seller, Perth Solar Force is a solar installer that demonstrates compliance with the NETCC standards. These standards have been designed by NETCC Council and administered by the Clean Energy Council. The consumer code has also been approved by the ACCC.
New Energy Tech Consumer Code Guarantees:
Solar energy products installed by a NET Approved Seller have several consumer guarantees.
Your solar energy system must:
- Be installed properly by an accredited individual
- Be safe, long-lasting, and free of faults
- Perform as expected
- Be fit for the purpose the retailer stated
- Have no hidden debts or extra expenses.
- Keep any additional claims made about performance, condition, and quality
- Have repairs facilities available after purchase
