Hybrid Solar Systems

Hybrid solar systems are pretty common these days, utilising hybrid inverters that are basically normal solar inverters with the ability to be connected to a battery system now or in the future.

The best time to store power is when you’re producing excess. The best time to use your stored power is when your solar power system is not covering demand. The metering unit is important, as it tells the battery inverter when this is happening so it knows when to store power and when to draw power from the batteries. 

Each battery inverter is compatible with its own metering device and we have a range of them, like the Fronius Smart Meter, Enphase Envoy-S Metered and SMA Energy Meter. This device is mounted near or in your switchboard.
